About

I think most of you know this but I'm Stephen, Cuenca of birth, vadeño of heart , and swells to death in Barcelona Sporting Club .

I decided to leave aside the hi5.com or facebook.com as I often limits what I wanted to write or share, so I will continue my blog, in the little time left to me lately.

I like extreme sports and nature, so there will be a lot about this, especially photos :)

I am someone who believes in the use of free software GNU / Linux and I promote it as such.

My laptop has Ubuntu 6.06 04.08 6.10 7.04 7.10 8.10 and this blog is created and updated with free tools ;)

Professionally
Since 1996 I have been involved in issues such as information technology and multimedia, so in the year 1998 I founded the company Maltercio , for 2000 Maltercio.com Co. Ltd. , today M3 Creative Studio , which was its President Executive and Project Director until 2006.

I have participated in several teams of social and environmental consulting team as part of the SDS , for institutions such as IDB, INECI, PROLOCAL, ITTO.

In 2003 I was Professor of web communications at Universidad San Francisco de Quito .

In 2006 I participated as a technology consultant to the Presidential Campaign Rafael Correa - Lenin Moreno , reaching to change the way of campaigning via the Internet, so much was said on " The TV "that the use of new technologies were the secret weapon of Rafael Correa.

Afinales 2006, along with Rafael Bonifaz we coordinate the collection of Richard Stallman with the president-elect of Ecuador Rafael Correa . Following this meeting the president of Ecuador decided to use Free Software as a policy of Government and State.

In 2007 the President Rafael Correa invited me to participate as its advisor in the area of Computer Science and Technology, and among the greatest achievements of this work I can highlight the creation of the Secretariat for Informatics , the president's support to the Free Software and FLISOL , and the signing of Decree 1014 for the use and implentación Free Software entities in Ecuador .

I am a founding member of the Free Software Association of Ecuador (ASLE) and on its board from March 31, 2007.

In June 2008 I resigned my position as an advisor for my Masters in Public Administration (e-Government & e-Policy) at the Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) , in Seoul, South Korea where I currently live.

In June 2009 I completed my Master of Public Administration (e-Government & e-Policy) from Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU).
