What else should you do to appear in the media?

estebandido | 4 May 2009

Read newspapers online has become part of daily routine in the middle of my coffee before going to college. Reviewed several newspapers, both the Basin such as Quito and Guayaquil, and think that's good I can be in the distance a pretty good idea of what is happening in my country.

Recently I was more aware than ever, especially in the sports, for news of the races of the Cruces Basin . For obvious reasons the local media coverage given to it, but the national media do not really get anything, just for them traditional 3 races in this country do not exist 45 years from the Circuit de las Cruces , 42 years Child Richard Borota Circuit , and 11 years of race walking Luis Chocho .

I wonder what should make Cuenca to be shown on these national media?, Or do anything, if not in Quito or Guayaquil skills do not matter.

As an athlete I can say that when we learned of racing, is through "word of mouth, and if we see a competition in another province, is because they show the results of what had been the day before, on a small note lost in the paper.

Eye is not only events like this a few days ago was the same with Deportivo Cuenca. Although I am a fan of Cruz del Vado , which is in second class, I was happy to know that the D. Basin reached a historic step in the Libertadores, and for truth in media Basin was published this fact, but for the media both Quito and Guayaquil press and tv, truth was no great feat, and it was how it happened, point.

Again I ask, is that bad news just like the provinces to publish?, Is that perhaps rank next round of the liberators is not so great, or have a career for 45 years and have been the hotbed of the most great distance runners of the country is not enough?.

Both D. Watershed as the Circle Cross Vado, are traditional clubs in the heart of Cuenca, and do great things not only the city but across the country, or perhaps there is also jealousy and regionalism in the media? or just remember the Cuenca, when they become champions and win medals?

I sincerely hope not.

Taking the pace again

estebandido | 23 February 2009

In recent days the weather was so cold that there was like jogging, now this week has started to improve and winter officially ends in 2 weeks, finally.

Since this weekend I started running normally again, but Monday I was surprised a pain in the neck that keeps me moving, it seems stiff neck, see how I wake up tomorrow, but will be playing to the doctor to have that treatment do you recommend.

Between that I've been lying down and reading this afternoon, I found this video that a friend has it in his blog , and I really enjoyed it.

It is a tribute to the Iron Man, who only wanted to see him until I got to go for a run this time, but well have to wait until tomorrow to continue training.

And I hope you enjoy it.

I write this post minutes before going to bed early (23H54) for years.

Beginning the road to the Iron Man

estebandido | 6 February 2009

For several years I see on TV the powers of Iron Man , I looked like a crazy thing, doing swimming (3.8 km), cycling (180 km) and marathon (42.2 KM) in a single competition, but in the end admired .

3 years ago I took up the sport with force, I've been around the idea of wanting to do the Iron Man , but as I needed that and start saying yes, but due to my training and the completion of the Marathon I said is about time.

Just last year reviewing videos on youtube I came to one of Iron Man and found the " Team Hoyt "but I prefer to see the video for me to tell you the story.
