If time passed 30 +1

estebandido | 1 October 2009

And the time to cross the barrier of the 30's came.

It's been a long way since celebrating my 30's last year in South Korea . Today, again in Ecuador, in the haughty and Sovereign Nation, celebrating this birthday with my loved ones, although some in the distance but I know that with me.

Very interesting all this year knowing that you are in the age where everyone will look more seriously, although I say that I can still pass for 26 or 27, but hey that's why I'm well preserved.

These 365 days have been great. finished my Master , I competed in many races and I improved a lot my time, but also had injured some months, but the best thing this year was to share with my Father his lifelong dream of reaching the Great Wall of China (soon will place the photos on Flickr), and because not only were there but we got to the roof of the world Tibet , at Phi-Phi Islands and Angkor Wat , it was great to re-meet in this time the two and know that we are not just father and son, but also friends and that all dreams are achievable in this life.

Million thanks to the sms, calls, emails, tweets and FB posts from around the world (seriously, I too was surprised). With friends like you for more, and for those who still have not still have time for the day is still long.

I share with you the official photo of my 31st birthday, not that it is an angel, but I think I do well this costume or not?

Backpacking in Asia 101

estebandido | 12 July 2009

Yes, the truth is I've been writing on the blog lately not as often, but not for not wanting to, from late June I have visitors in Seoul, so I've been with them everywhere and in turn also began our journey we've been planning for some months.

So good I now have time to like this going on our trip and everything that happens on this side of the world.

Background to the trip
During all this time in Korea I have traveled some parts of the country, but always had in mind to take a trip through neighboring countries, further my dad has always had in mind to visit China and get to fulfill his dream of stepping on the Wall of China, between talk and talk and showed my cousin Freddy and also joined the group of potential travelers, further more people wanted to come but in the end only my dad and Fredy confirmed the trip.

Promises for 2009

estebandido | 17 January 2009

2008 was a great year, many of the goals I had raised the managed, even some of got over it.

Never had planned to compete in a marathon , so it seemed a little crazy, but when I decided to do and I did the run took another direction. As Rubianes Walter told me the marathon is the competition more attractive for any distance runner, and as it is true.

The mastery another goal accomplished and better than I was planning. Now I'm in Seoul has 6 months to finish and among the best in the class.

Well that as a general summary of the promises of 2008.

Now in 2009 I raised a few goals (not in order of priority):

  • Find my soul mate or find me, interested? write me :)
  • Complete and submit the thesis Masters before leaving Seoul
  • Meet the Great Wall of China
  • Stronger support and time to the Free Software movement in Ecuador and Latin America
  • Participate in athletic competitions and finish 5
  • Improve the marks of my competitions
  • Start Training to compete in 2010 as Iron Man
  • Stop smoking completely
  • Reset M3
  • Starting 1 or 2 personal projects outstanding entrepreneurial
  • Write more frequently on the blog, at least 1 time per week

Well these are the promises for 2009, so all my friends ask you to support me and I will always support them to :)

  • Quitting smoking (99% achieved 1% needed to get over this and 2009)
  • Weight loss (achieved)
  • Improve my fitness (achieved)
  • Participate in athletic competition and finish 5 (made in the following competencies: 10KM Otavalo, 10Km circuit Cruces Basin, 15Km Quito Latest News, Media Marathon 15 KM Quito, Nike Human Race 10K - Seoul JoongAng Marathon 42Km - Seoul World 30Km Stadium Cup 10Km under 10 below zero)

estebandido | 1 October 2008

3 (three) - 0 (zero) Well it is a win football or something, is just the answer you give when they ask me Age? 3-0 years will answer.

Three decades of my life, wow have been passed in the blink of an eye, but at the same time there have been many but so many things, good and bad, one or another evil thing I have done, but I say get a summary, fuck 30 years well spent! I'm not complaining.

The other day I read the post I wrote while serving 29 years , the truth, I never would have imagined that my 30s those held in Seoul, but it's interesting that you read this remember that the most important birthday of life, I have held out home.

My 18's celebrated in Quito, a few weeks of having arrived , my 21 in New York during a stint with the Yankees, the 25 in Quito again, and now 30 in Seoul.

12 years out of Cuenca

estebandido | 22 August 2008

A night of August 21, 1996 I went to Cuenca to the capital , just knew it was going to study , which was a morlaco in search of victory.

In my head just thinking about what might happen there, all the new things he would see and learn everything again inside me just waiting to pass the time (4 years) to return to my family, my Cuenca , my Vado , my friends , but everything changed, the circumstances of life have led me in other directions and destinations.

They are 12 years out of those I love most: my parents and my grandmother.

And today in the distance, more than ever, I have in mind the words that my Father and my Mother told us last year in its 30 anniversary, "it is difficult to see them go whenever you are on our side, but we gave them wings to fly, fly so high ... "

So, they gave me wings to fly, and I'm doing, thanks mom and dad :)

I love you

Stephen
