What more must be done to appear in the media?

estebandido | 4 May 2009

Read the newspapers online has become part of daily routine in the middle of my coffee before going to college. I check several newspapers, both the Basin such as Quito and Guayaquil, and well think that this distance I can have a pretty good idea of what is happening in my country.

Recently I was more aware than ever, especially in the sports, for news of the races of the Cruces Basin . For obvious reasons the local media coverage given to it, but the truth on national means nothing comes out, just for them three traditional races in this country did not exist 45 years from the Circuit de las Cruces , 42 years Borota Circuit Richard Child , and 11 years of race walking Luis Chocho .

I ask myself, what should Cuencanos to appear on these national media?, Or is that perhaps, if not in Quito or Guayaquil skills do not matter.

As an athlete I can say that when we heard running, is through "word of mouth, and if we see a competition in another province, is because they show the results of what had been the day before in a short note lost in the paper.

Eye not only with events like this a few days ago was the same with Deportivo Cuenca. Although I am a fan of Cruz del Vado , which is in second class, I was glad to know that the D. Basin reached a historic step in the Libertadores, and for truth in media Basin was published this, but for the media in Quito and Guayaquil both press and TV, truth was no great feat, and it was as it happened, point.

Again I ask, is that just like bad news for the provinces to publish?, Is that perhaps rank next round of freedom is not something so big?, Or have a career for 45 years and having been a hotbed of the most great distance runners of the country is not enough?.

Both D. Circle Cross Cuenca del Vado, are traditional clubs in the heart of Cuenca, and do great things not only the city but across the country, or perhaps there is jealousy and regionalism also in the media? or just remember the Cuenca, when they become champions and win medals?

I sincerely hope not.
