In races with the thesis

estebandido | 27 April 2009

What do I write now? - And now I write? These past weeks have been crazy, missing only a few days to deliver the first draft of the thesis, and I have like crazy, the days seem short, when I look at the clock and are 22h00 or 02h00.

The university closes at two o'clock on campus, so until then I can be out there, but I stay locked because one day I went, I thought it was the only one but I found that many students were still studying.

But good from bad nights and early mornings everyday, I come to run a few days in the last week to loosen the muscles, since both spend sitting, I ache all over, but good also since February already had planned to run the 10K Adidas MBC Hangang Marathon 2009 with my friend Greg.

This time I can say that the exhaustion of all nights for the thesis did not give me the courage to go for a run, but gradually I got used already, so I got good competition and I have not trained as thoroughly as in the past, I can say that the result has been quite safistactorio.

Adidas MBC Hangang Marathon 2009 My last March, I made 10k in 50:15, finished at 48:54 today that really leave me happy, so I'm good in the fight to improve my all my time as my promises for 2009 , last year my best 10K was 57:13.

At the end of it also helped me to remember even if not in the exact date, which was at present in the preparations of the Cross 2009 , which come next week, I know it will be a great success over last year, but good view over the Internet will play this year to enjoy it again in 2010.

Ready for the Marathon

estebandido | 1 November 2008

Ready for the Marathon Good long-awaited day finally comes, just 2 days left for the realization of the JoongAng Seoul Marathon for which I have been preparing well for all these months.

Actually I am excited and nervous at the same time, be the first time will participate in a competition like this, so many nerves there and I just know that I am physically and mentally prepared to do, period.

It's been a long road to get to the Marathon, I did not think it would be so hard that at times made me want to stop and it is all there, but I feel that everything was worth it so far.

Many do not know the long hours between studies and to go out and train in the morning, afternoon or evening, the early mornings on weekends to go running on the outskirts of Seoul, and thus has been a sacrifice but I'm happy.

Way to 42K - Going for the 42K Well as many already know, apart from studying, I also am preparing to participate for the first time in Marathon (42.195 km), the marathon is that I will participate in the JoongAng Seoul Marathon , the second largest in Seoul.

Each week the workouts become harder and longer, especially on Sundays are the days of long runs.

This last Sunday, I had to run 36K, the truth was a difficult test, had been run up to 28K in previous weeks but the 36K were long and endless.

So I got ready in the morning to go jogging, I grabbed my backpack with drinks and gels necessary, ipod, sunglasses, etc. I took a taxi and get to park next to the World Cup Stadium for the great workout.
