estebandido | 23 September 2008

Well a few weeks ago the idea of writing a post to help migrants with the use of tools available on the internet, but I really think this may also be useful post for exchange students, frequent travelers, backpackers, people who one way or another want to be in touch with loved ones and acquaintances, even within the same country.

I hope these tips can help you, if you have any other suggestions, send me a e-mail for inclusion.

This is written based on my experience when I travel out, and some new things I've ever met in recent months in Korea.

Blog
I think one of the most interesting things to be traveling is that you have everything you do and show everything you do, at least this is my case, so I recommend you open a blog.

The blood type for Koreans

estebandido | 12 August 2008

Arriving in Korea seemed normal that I ask during medical examinations and in some papers my blood type, but then gradually it seemed a little strange that most times I keep asking.

In a book of lectures on Korean history, talk a lot about the importance of blood type for Koreans, the mixtures had during times of war and lived with Japanese colony.

But I found most strange that when we went to U-Park to go in there gave us a card and asked us to ask our data on blood type.

Since the passage of days, I learned that Koreans have enough meaning that blood type you are, to the point that they believe that define your personality, for which the Yonsei University did a study and some results interesting.

In the case of U-Park the idea is that as you know which personality type you have (in theory) creates a profile for you according to your preferences during the visit.

I asked several people their blood type and the truth in many cases coincided, mine is O, you think that defines me as I am?

Now try you, here you can find the information . Available in Spanish as well.

Tips for traveling to Korea

estebandido | 29 July 2008

Well after a month, I thought proper to write a few small suggestions or tips for future students who come to Korea.

This is written based on my experience of being a first month here, if during the next few months I think it deserves an update I will.

  1. Passport Photos: In many places you ask for them, and in my case are cheaper in Ecuador photos, so I recommend you bring passport photos.
  2. Apply for multiple entry: When I got to get the visa for one entry to Korea, but here in the immigration office make the change without problems, so you use? I served it to you when you go to visit other countries do not make trouble re-entering Korea.
  3. Change money at the airport: From what I've seen so far at the airport change is higher than banks in Seoul, so it might recommend that you change your money at the airport, eye when the change was high there, and banks is lower, now do not know.
  4. Deodorants: If you like what you hear, here there is no deodorant at all stores, what the Koreans have told me because of the food and your body does not use them, so well told in stores find them, but that if a price 10 to 15 USD, so I recommend you bring them home, so bring the ones you like as not that there is variety here.
